I still reckon Ducks Nuts has the best coffee in town - and then there's the "to die for" cakes - that's the only problem when you are trying to reduce those extra inches around the middle. The man's mud cake and lemon meringue tarts are wonderful, as are also the lemon tarts (no they are different to the meringue version. Just don't bother with the quiches (I suspect they don't make them there but buy them in). The best quiches in town are - wierdly enough - in that small cafe place in Smith/Cavenagh Woolworths store.
yeah i get my mid-morning coffee from Ducks Nuts every day... i've always liked them, although i do reckon over the past couple of months the coffee has been more bitter than normal! i'm not so much a fan of Kurt's cakes, altho the lemon tarts and the caramel blueberry ones are fantastic. AND i swear, his vanilla slice can't be rivalled by anyone.
